Work Day 2023 !

A big thank you to Meg Donnelly for organizing our Fall Work / Clean-Up Day.

Many hands made for light work as countless tasks were undertaken with enthusiasm and cheerfulness.

Even down to removing the organ pedals in hopes of recovering coins dropped by organists through the years!

Linda Heilbron, our Senior Warden,  welcomes Reverend Hugh Brown to Emmanuel on December 3.  Father Hugh was filling in for our Priest-in-Charge.

Closing the Gap Between Religion and Life

The 229th Annual Convention of the Diocese of Virginia just concluded this past week.

“As Emmanuel’s delegate, a particular highlight of the 3 day event was the address by our new bishop – Mark Stevenson.  I found his words spiritually focussed and inspiring, as did many of the more than 430 delegates who filled the convention hall in Fredericksburg.”  – John Kauffmann

Emmanuel welcomed Lea and Zac VanderGoot, as they presented their daughter Arla for baptism.

Church Facelift 2023 !

With Vestry approval, and under the leadership of our Junior Warden Beth Wilbanks and her husband Bob, the church has undergone an extensive re-painting and is now finished!!

What you see here is the labor intensive preparation that began weeks ago, removing ALL layers of leathered paint down to the original wood.  This includes all surfaces on the sides and the back of the church that were not painted in the last two years.

                   … and AFTER !!

Picnic 2023 – What Fun!
