Easter Sunday 2024

And what a beautiful Easter Sunday it was!  It began with the quiet gathering at our cemetery in the darkness of early morning, save for the light from a traditional Easter bonfire.  That light was transferred to the Easter candle that now resides in Emmanuel’s sanctuary.
We gathered once more, this time in bright sunlight, at the church for a glorious music (and bells!) filled celebration.  Lilies, purchased for the service failed to open in time, but lovely daffodils were quickly gathered by a church member from her home garden and beautifully arranged for the service!  (Shown in the pictures below) We could not have had a better symbol of the contributions of so many resulting in such a meaningful Easter!

Work Day 2023 !

A big thank you to Meg Donnelly for organizing our Fall Work / Clean-Up Day.

Many hands made for light work as countless tasks were undertaken with enthusiasm and cheerfulness.

Even down to removing the organ pedals in hopes of recovering coins dropped by organists through the years!

Welcome!

Church Facelift 2023 !

With Vestry approval, and under the leadership of our Junior Warden Beth Wilbanks and her husband Bob, the church has undergone an extensive re-painting and is now finished!!

What you see here is the labor intensive preparation that began weeks ago, removing ALL layers of leathered paint down to the original wood.  This includes all surfaces on the sides and the back of the church that were not painted in the last two years.
